May 16th to 17th, the third session of the Sino - Russian bilateral "CVD Diamond Trends and Challenges: Preparation, Performance and Advanced Applications" Forum, jointly organized by the Academy of Astronautics and the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of General Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences International Symposium with Semiconductor Detector was held at Harbin Institute of Technology.

Russian Academy of Sciences Vitali Konov and Party committee vice secretary, vice president Zhang Hongtao of Harbin Institute of Technology respectively gave an opening speech, and "diamond material international joint laboratory" unveiled. The conference focused on diamond materials, including diamond crystal growth, laser processing, doping and diamond color centers, nanocrystalline films, high energy particle and ray diamond detectors, etc. Experts and scholars from China, Russia and Italy had presentation and communication focused on the latest achievements and cooperation in related fields. During the meeting, the experts also visited the Harbin Institute of Technology Museum, Institute of robotics, composite materials and structural research institute.
